OHSU Dept. of Emergency Medicine Fellowship

The Medical Toxicology Fellowship Program is a two-year training program for physicians who are already qualified in a primary specialty recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties. The program is designed to prepare the fellow for board certification in medical toxicology. The goals of the fellowship are to provide an excellent experience in a broad range of areas related to medical toxicology and to facilitate in-depth training in an area of emphasis chosen by the fellow. Major areas of emphasis include acute care medical toxicology, occupational and environmental toxicology and public health/health policy issues in toxicology. Within a chosen area of emphasis, training prepares the fellow for future leadership in related research, education and policymaking.

Competency and board qualification are achieved through ongoing clinical teaching, topical reviews and formal curriculum.
